Work Based Learning (WBL)
Work Based Learning (WBL) is an educational strategy that equips students with real-life experiences and career-building competencies.
International College of Yayasan Melaka (ICYM) has collaborated with more than 30 selected companies in order to integrate classroom based-learning into work-based learning.
This method is executed through students work placement and competence progress monitoring. Consequently, it helps in bridging the gap between theoretical in higher education and practical in real-life work.
Objectives:
- Gain theoretical knowledge and apply the skills in real-life work.
- Expose to more enjoyable and apparent learning content coherence with real-life work.
- Deliver comprehensible input on work scope, workspace, and responsibility that will be carried out as an employee and practice positive organisational culture.
- Obtain exposure on latest equipment and technology in real-life work.
